Are Longopac more expensive than a traditional bag ?

If you compare by the metre then probably yes, however if you compare by usage and include costs and associated savings the Longopac system is a far less expensive than any traditional waste bag and you could reduce plastic use-age by upto 75%.

Why are Longopac more environmentally friendly than a traditional waste bag ?

When using Longopac the bag is 100% used, unlike a traditional bag where upto 75% of the bag is not filled. With the Longopac system you can also squeeze the air out of the bag from the outside, this can reduce the volume by a further 50%.

Why is Longopac more hygienic than a traditional waste bag ?

Longopac is easy to keep clean with minimal surface area to catch bacteria, any spillages around the top are collected by the next bag when the liner is pulled through.

The bin is re-lined by touching the outside of the liner – no hand contact with the waste and because of the continuous liner, the design stops messy overflowing bins.

The Longopac bag feels thin, is it as strong as a traditional bag ?

The Longopac bag is designed to be thin and very strong, the bag is 3 layers of plastic, making it very stretch and rip resistant, the bags strength is over 3 times stronger than a traditional bag. See our ‘Dart Drop test’ for the amazing results.

Why buy a baler when I can simply use a cage ?

A waste is the most effective method for collecting material to be recycled. Baled material reduces collection frequency and transport costs. If the material is baled to recycling centres requirements, this can save re-working the material, also saving time. Due to these savings most recyclers will give you a higher price for your waste material when baled rather than loose.

Other benefits include: space saving, more hygienic work space, less traffic on site.

How do I know which is the right baler for me ?

We can easily assess the right equipment for the application by material type and volume. This can be assessed by a site visit or pictures of your materials.

Are balers safe ?

We can easily assess the right equipment for the application by material.

All Orwak balers are built to the highest safety standards in the world. They fully comply to the recently released EN 16500:2014 standards and NZ/AS 4024.

We provide comprehensive manuals, on site training and ongoing training video’s. Free refresher training is also included with every annual service or on request.

What is a High Density / Mill Size / Export Bale?

All collected recycling material is transferred in to paper mills or exported to other countries for recycling. To maximise transport and container efficiency cardboard bale weights should be 400kg +

Am I guaranteed to get a revenue for my bales?

It depends on the material, size of your bales and the quantity that you can keep on site. We can advise you on the best machine to ensure you receive highest revenue for your bales. We also offer on-going training to ensure you are maximising the value of your waste by careful segregation at source. This difference between a high and low grade plastic is significant.

Do you have machines in stock?

We carry all popular Orwak machines in stock and a large range of Longopac bag stands with bag sizes and colour to suit. Most products are available for next day despatch.

Do you sell consumables for machines other than your own?

Yes we sell consumables suitable for all recycling machinery.

Do you service the machines annually?

Yes we can provide this as part of the rental agreement.

How do I know if I need a vertical or a horizontal baler?

As a rough guide if you produce more than ten tonne per week of waste card or plastic you should probably look at a horizontal machine.

How long does it take for an engineer respond to a problem?

Our baling equipment is fitted with modems that monitor use-age and errors, most repairs can be diagnosed remotely. When possible we try to use local contractors to save time and cost.
